Before Getting Started:

  • Create a proper backup of all the existing data and settings of your Galaxy Note 7.
  • Verify that you’ve properly installed the Galaxy Note 7 USB Drivers on the PC.
  • Enable USB Debugging Mode on your Galaxy Note 7 by navigate to Settings > Developer Options > check the USB Debugging option.
  • The latest version of a custom recovery must be installed on Galaxy Note 7.
  • Check the battery level of your Galaxy Note 7, it should be charged at least about 80% before proceeding to the installation guide.

Steps to Root Note 7 N930S on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow using CF Auto-Root Package:

Step No 1:- Download Chainfire’s SuperSU root app (BETA-SuperSU-v2.77-20160827190633.zip) on the desktop of your PC.

Step No 2:- Plug the Galaxy Note 7 with the PC using its USB data cable.

Step No 3:- Transfer SuperSU zip package to the root folder of internal storage SD card of the phone.

Step No 4:- Once the SuperSU file, disconnect the phone from the PC and reboot the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 into the Recovery Mode and the custom recovery image then loads on the display.

Step No 5:- While the Galaxy Note 7 is Recovery Mode, take the NANDroid backup from the Recovery menu by tapping on the backup button.

Step No 6:- From the Recovery Menu, select “Install” option and then follow the on-screen prompts and locate the SD card to find the SuperSU package.
