Step No 1: – First of all download the update package on your PC from the given above link on the desktop of your PC but don’t unzip it.

Step No 2: – Now connect your Xperia S with your PC using its USB data cable.

Step No 3- Move the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update file from PC the SD card of your phone.

Step No 4: – Disconnect the Xperia S after copying the firmware file.

Step No 5: – Boot your Xperia S into Recovery Mode, to do this first Power it Off and then press Power + Volume up + Home buttons altogether for a while until a warning message appears.

Step No 6: – From recovery apply the wipe, now select “wipe data factory reset”, “wipe cache partition” and “wipe Dalvik cache”.

Step No 7: – Now go back to Main Menu of Recovery. From there choose “install zip from SD card” and “choose zip from SD card”.

Step No 8: – The installation process will be started on your device. It will take some time.

Step No 9: – After the flashing process finished successfully, return to Main Menu of recovery and the select “reboot system now”.

  1. When in try to install this on Xperia SL, I get the following message : This package is for “nozomi” devices: this is a “LT26ii” and the installation is aborted. This does not work on Xperial SL.

  2. Okay.. so i followed all the procedure to the dot.. and voila now i have Lollipop on my xperia SL… but while installing TWRP, i had to use the file for Xperia S, hence now in About –> my phone is showed as Xperia S. But i finally got Android Lollipop.

  3. Pls tell me is it working for sony xperia s LT26i?. If i get stuck in between installation can i move to factory mode or not?

    1. I installed cm 11 on my xperia s lt26i . but not working well. I faced problem with touch screen hang.

      In this rom this bug fixed?

  4. I tried installing nAOSProm on my xperia LT26i but it says “This package is for nozomi devices. this is LT26i”
    I change the name nozomi to LT26i in the Rom but when I try installing it just abort it. what should I do?
