OnePlus One owners want to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow? You can now get the official latest Android OS OTA roll out on these handsets. Thanks to the XDA Developers for providing an AOSP based custom firmware which is now available for OnePlus One. This AOSP custom ROM is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The ROM is currently under development and you might face some minor software issues but many users have tested this firmware and found it very stable which is enough for a daily use because this experimental build is based on CyanogenMod 12.1 Kernel and is highly-stable.
As we have already mentioned that this is a custom ROM which is developed by the third-party developers, not officially released by OnePlus or Google thus you’ll be required to have a custom recovery like TWRP or CWM already installed in order to flash the latest Android 6.0 AOSParadox Project 1.0 ROM on OnePlus One. All you need to have a rooted OnePlus One device with the latest version of a custom recovery pre-installed on it and the bootloader of your device should be unlocked as well. Now go ahead and follow the given step-by-step guide to update your OnePlus One to AOSP Android 6.0 Marshmallow custom firmware.
This guide containing the AOSP Android 6.0 Marshmallow custom ROM and instructions can be used only for the OnePlus One devices. Do not try to install this firmware on any other device or incorrect variant. Check out the model number of your device from Settings > About Phone.
